I had to write this down...so I am typing it in the blog...isn't that what this is for anyway??? Tonight, Hailey was eating peaches for dinner and loving them and out of the blue she looked at Jeff and said..."you know what...peaches are healthy"...it made us laugh. We have been talking about eating healthy more often lately since she asks for treats/snacks like 20 times a day. Don't get me wrong...I definitely let her snack and have treats...just trying to work on cutting down on them. :)
The other day we were in the grocery store and on the cereal aisle and she would ask me if all the cereal's were healthy and don't you know that every cereal that is at her arms reach is sugary sweet...so I would tell her those weren't healthy...this man looked and laughed at me like I was crazy.
Often times now Hailey will ask me if things are healthy...it's good to know she's taking it to heart and trying to apply what I'm attempting to teach her...ha! :)

Emmy & Pops
Jeff's parents came to visit us last weekend. Hailey was very excited to have them here. We didn't do too much but it was fun getting to visit. Hailey always enjoys having more people to give her attention. She taught Emmy & Pops all the games she likes to play and told them exactly how to do everything...hee hee! :)

CIRCUS!
My mom & I took Hailey and my nephew Karson to the circus on Friday morning...they had so much fun! Can you believe that cotton candy costs $12...it comes with this hat so I guess they think they can charge more...craziness! :) My mom let them pick out a suprise at the end of the circus as a souvenir...guess what hailey chose...a SWORD?!? They had all these cute little things and even a fairy wand which I thought she would for sure want...but no, she wanted the sword. Karson came home with us after the circus and spent the night...it was fun to listen to them talk to each other and play together.

Lake Weekend
We went to Sam Rayburn Lake this past weekend to be with friends and had such a great time. Each family has kids about the same age so it is fun to watch them play. On Saturday morning the guys played golf and the girls took the kids to the lake and then in the afternoon the girls went to see Mamma Mia at the movie theater in Jasper...very interesting old school theater...but the movie was awesome...we laughed (alot) and cried (and wanted to sing & dance) - those arethe best kinds of movies!
hailey looked a little nervous with trey's driving :)

getting so big
Some pictures I took of Hailey today just really made her look like a big girl...where did my baby girl go??? At least she is starting to let me take pics of her now and looking at the camera...of course it is because she asked if she could take my picture...and I said after she lets me take some of her :)

I also have to include a few from swim lessons the past couple days...she has been jumping off the diving board - i can't believe it!

swimming lessons
Hailey started swimming lessons this week. The first day she had a hard time settling in, but today she did great and loved it. By the end of it, I could hear her telling her teacher "chad" that he was a funny boy and showing him all her tricks. Here are a few pics...I've been amazed at how they teach her...she has already touched her feet to the bottom of the pool and jumped to swim to him with her head totally under the water...she never would have done that with me! :) It will be fun to see how brave she gets over the next two weeks.

Elephant Party
Jeff & I took Hailey down to Victory Park this evening for the Elephant Party to welcome the circus to town. She had a great time...we got to see a firetruck (she has a huge love for those), clowns, elephants eating a ton of food, and this guy walking on a high wire in the middle of it all...crazy! It was a late night, but we had a lot of fun! She keeps talking about the guy walking on the balance beam in the sky.
