Elephant Party

Jeff & I took Hailey down to Victory Park this evening for the Elephant Party to welcome the circus to town. She had a great time...we got to see a firetruck (she has a huge love for those), clowns, elephants eating a ton of food, and this guy walking on a high wire in the middle of it all...crazy! It was a late night, but we had a lot of fun! She keeps talking about the guy walking on the balance beam in the sky.

Sandy Lake Park

Today my mom came over to take me to lunch for my birthday and we took Hailey to the Sandy Lake Park that is a few miles from our house. Jeff and I have driven right by it for many years, but just never took the plunge to go and try it out. Hailey had a blast...the little rides were shaded by trees and we just stayed about an hour so we didn't get too hot. It is cheap and lots of fun...I bet we'll be going there a lot more now! Oh and...there was only one other family in the park today...so we had it to ourselves! :)

Today was my 31st birthday; we played outside all morning and then after nap we went on a shopping trip to Nordstrom for their sale! Jeff was "responsible" for hailey while i shopped and tried on clothes. It was so funny...I looked over and she was bare foot and dancing in the ailes to the music. I was a little embarressed, but she is such a push over...nobody seemed offended. She had been trying on shoes in the womens department and then we went to the kids shoes department and she had a blast...it was too funny. I really do think she is going to be a little more into style than I am...but maybe she just has an interest in shoes like her daddy does with boots. She had her feet measured by the people like 3 times and she also measured jeff's feet and was trying womens shoes on his feet while i got some of my own. Finally, we had dinner at fireside pies and had a great time. She was a little wired after all the fun today, Jeff and I just laughed the whole way home b/c she didn't stop talking once! :) It was a fun day!

Summer Camp

This past week Hailey went to "camp sunshine" with friends everyday from 9:30 to 11:30. Some of us moms decided it would be fun to do something to get us out of the house and let the kids play at some of our houses. So we planned a theme for each day and had circle time, crafts, snacks, and games planned. There was anywhere from 8 to 15 kids there each day ranging from 7 months to 4 years. It was a fun time and helped the week go by! One of the moms in the group took some pics for us a couple of the days with her fancy camera since she is a photographer (thanks courtney!)...so below are some that she took of Hailey. Hailey would actually look at her and smile for a picture...why won't she do that for me??? :)

Hailey is really getting into dress up play lately. My brother travels all over the world with his work and brought her this outfit back home...she calls herself a princess when she wears it and loves to dance to music in it. :)

4th of July

We had a fun 4th of July! Coppell had fireworks on July 3rd in the park and then had a parade on the morning of the 4th. We saw some of our friends at the fireworks show and had some fun with our friends at the parade too!
