Dance Recital

Hailey had her first dance recital this weekend at the Majestic Theater in Downtown Dallas. She did such a good job and it was so fun to watch her. She had so much fun sitting with her class for the 3 hours of the recital. I was a little nervous that she wouldn't show up on stage...but she did and she was very brave and danced her little heart out. She is the youngest in her class by about 6 months and the others in the class are 4 & 5.

With her stage makeup on for dress rehearsal.

Listening to Ms Melva...hailey is not sitting in ballerina pose! :)

San Antonio & Sea World

We took Hailey to San Antonio and Sea World...we wanted to take her on her last trip with just us before her baby brother arrives! :) We stopped in Austin on the way down and back home to eat...of course! We also stopped in Waco to see the Baylor Bear.

Sea World was so fun...it was super windy that day so it felt pretty chilly...but that didn't stop Hailey from wanting to get wet in the little water park. She got to feed the dolphins, touch a baby alligator, watch several shows and see some sharks.

The first day in San Antonio, we went on a train ride and walked through the Japanese Tea Garden. Then we went to the Alamo and river walk. Her favorite thing to do was take pictures with our camera...she actually did get some good shots, but some people thought it was kind of strange when she would take pictures of them. :)

January Pics

I haven't posted any pics in awhile so I thought I'd post a few pics from January. Hailey is keeping us laughing and her personality is really growing lately. Some of her favorite things to do are play games like hide-n-seek, baby (where she is the mommy & jeff or I play the baby), card games, and she still likes to play doctor. She is also really getting into playing dress up and pretend play and she creates all these stories in her mind and tells me and jeff what role we are to play...if we do it wrong, she is sure to let us know. It is a really fun stage and of course she is trying to grow her independence, which i know is good, but we're trying to teach her that she still has to listen to us since lately she has become really good at not hearing us - ha!

playing with her makeup...

sitting on the tractor with Karson at the stock show

dance class...of course the two girls she is standing next to are 2 years older than her so she look so small. she really loves her dance class and teacher - ms. melva.

we took her to the nasher museum and she was really interested in this sculpture.
